Attachment Repair
Somatic Attachment Repair
What is attachment repair? And why is it important?
Your attachment patterns are automatically gifted to you by your caregivers, at the very beginning of life. It’s the way children learn to emotionally regulate themselves, it’s the system through which they learn how to explore their world, and it’s how they learn to get their needs met. If a child doesn’t get the full loving presence and attunement that they needed in these first two years of life, they develop an insecure attachment strategy. This attachment strategy becomes the basis for the rest of the developmental growth throughout their life. It’s the emotional regulation strategy that they fall back upon when they get overwhelmed, and it shapes how they choose relationships.
Basically, it’s just really, really challenging to live life through the lenses of these attachment strategies. The good news is that in the past number of years, healing modalities have been really focusing on this domain of human development, and seeing just how important it is to have this part of ourselves be healed, be secure, and be open to all that life has to offer.

Ways we can work together
If the above information is sounding interesting, please reach out for a free 30 minute call to see if we are a fit for each other.
You’ll come away from the call with an little experience of what I offer, and some personalized recommendations for resources that I highly recommend for my clients.
Much of my goal in working with you is to empower you with all of the tools and understanding to become your own greatest healer in this process. I’m made it my mission to dive into the very deep world of attachment repair literature, teachings, and practices, to harvest the most useful, most applicable, and simplest approaches we can take. And even with having the best tools, we still at times need someone there to reflect back to us our state, and the experience of safety.
I have an office in Boulder, Colorado, and this is where I meet my in person clients for one-on-one sessions.
I also meet with clients for sessions over zoom.
I hold regular meditation retreats that are focused on the cultivation of loving kindness and compassion in service of healing attachment at the Boulder Tea Hut.
I also co-facilitate small group offerings called Co-regulation Circles, that are focused on emotional and attachment level processing.
In the next few months, I will begin to offer a 3 month deep dive course into Somatic Attachment Repair that incorporates the background of what attachment is, an introduction to the practices to repair it, and group space to come together to do the work necessary to bring ourselves into earned secure attachment.
Send me an email, and we can schedule a time to dive into this journey together!
