The Heart of Tea Cohort

An 8-Week Journey of Stillness, Compassion, and Learning the Way of Tea

You are warmly invited to step into an 8-week journey of mindfulness, heart connection, and Tea exploration, beginning Sunday, September 7th.

We will gather in the warmth of my home in Gunbarrel, creating a safe and nurturing space to explore the Way of Tea — grounded in compassion, presence, and community practice.

Tea, at its essence, is a Heart medicine. Just as the heart opens to love, compassion, and connection, tea invites us into a gentle unfolding of presence and awareness. The act of preparing and sharing tea becomes a sacred ritual, aligning us with the stillness and clarity within, and nurturing a bridge between ourselves and others.

 The Journey

Over the weeks, we will weave silence, reflection, heart-centered practice and teachings into the simple yet profound act of sharing Tea.

  • Foundations of a Personal Tea Practice – creating ritual, rhythm, and presence in your daily life.

  • Contemplative Tea Ceremony – sitting with Tea as teacher, guide, and mirror of stillness.

  • Holding Space from the Somatic Heart – deepening the art of listening, presence, and meditative heart opening practices

  • Serving Tea with Compassion – embodying service, simplicity, and grace.

This is more than learning a ceremony — it is stepping into a way of being, guided by the wisdom of leaves, water, and silence.

Flow of Classes

Each gathering will have a gentle rhythm, a flow that allows us to arrive fully, rest in presence, and open to the wisdom and way of Tea.

  • Arrival & Grounding – We begin by settling into stillness, arriving as we are, and connecting with ourselves and the circle.

  • Tea Ceremony – Together we share in the practice of contemplative Tea in silence. Each week we will explore a different genre of Tea — from delicate greens to grounding dark leaves — discovering how each one carries its own chi, medicine, and teaching.

  • Teaching & Reflection – After ceremony, I will offer teachings connected to that week’s tea and the practice. This may include reflections and stories about the way of Tea, and guidance for deepening a personal or community practice. There will also be space for questions and shared reflections.
